does anybody no the record for aa/gas altered - {nostalgia 6-71 iron heads and shorter than a funny car 125"} also was this a pure gas or could they run alcohol to?. I'm interested I think I can get my ole smallblock around 8.30 range in my bantam 108" true 70's car, on gas

AA in the 'day' was gas only. no exotic fuel. I will dig around for some records.
Current AA/g is 99.99 alcohol ( no nitro), 6/71, small pump. Current record is 6.390 216.50 I believe.

Back in the early 70's, I worked with a guy who set the record, if I remember correctly, at 8.56 @ 161.
