Ron there is the Best Western Apricot Inn we use just south of Eagle Field, I contacted them (559 659 1444) and got us a special event rate of $60 (queen bed), $65 (king bed) and $70 (2 queen beds). Sharon the manager said it didn't matter how many people to a room but lets not get crazy The Apricot is about 15 minutes away to the south on 1-5 and treated my friends pretty well in October as I understand. We run for fun, no track prep, and a grudge format. "O" don't get directions from Butch he takes the long way ;d Check out eaglefield.net Rocky

Well race fans we're only 30 days away from our second event, and the Fresno Dragways Reunion looks to be over the TOP! The 55 Chevy portrayed in Zombie's T-Shirt Art is a car that Gary Chambers raced at Fresno Dragways, Today Firebaugh Racing's Jay Diedrich owns Rat Poison in its original paint and is working hard to have it running at the event. Gary along with many other racers and people who where involved with "Raisin City" have been invited to be our guest for the day so keep your eyes open, you may meet a favorite racer/hero. Special guests of Eagle Field will hopefully accept our breakfast invitation, making the breakfast a great gathering, a "Breakfast of Champions" if you will, so you may want to enjoy a great breakfast for only $10 or hang out in the hanger for some great bench racing Sat. morning before racing starts. This years raffle prizes will be drawn in the Museum (at the front gate), ALL admission tickets can be exchanged for 5 raffle tickets so don't miss this opportunity at a chance to win some great prizes. Raffle tickets will also be available to purchase if you need more than 5. The raffle drawings will start at 2pm so get get your tickets in early then make sure you stop at the museum on the way out. I also included the event layout map, please note the following changes. Racing participants who want to park and watch the races between runs are asked to park in the "Show and Go" area, only show cars and spectators are allowed in the spectator area. Show and go cars are cars driven to the event, No trailers. These spaces are first come, first serve and I'll try to have 2 rows to accommodate everyone. Also note that that spectator RV parking has also been moved to the area just behind the vendors, racers are still allowed to park their RV's with their cars in the pit area. Upgrades are planned for the racing surface and PA system too name a few. We hope you enjoy yourself at Eagle Field and look forward to provide you with an experience from the past! Rocky

A couple of notes..............BellAir Motorsports (www.bellairmotorsports.com) is making up some cool collectibles for the event, they are only doing a small production runs so you'll want to check out their trailer display in vendor row early. I am also having plenty of paper posters done (selling for under $5 to offer an affordable souvenir) and naturally Ron and Tamara from the ShirtShak are going to be on hand printing event shirts in the hanger. The Reunion is looking to be a FANTASTIC event with plenty to do in just the short time we will have on the 22nd. If all the people (who participated at Fresno Dragways) I've have spoke with show up we are in for a treat starting first thing at breakfast, so get there early and plan too stay late so you don't miss a thing! Rocky, Sorry, I wont be able to make it. Found a dead sprag in the trans, & they dont sell that kind anymore. Taking it to Lenco for an upgrade to newer style sprag. I sure cant complain about its reliability. 2 minor problems since 1997. Both able to be fixed at the track. Have fun Ron & Sandy

About 6 or 7 years ago I was pitted right next to Ron and I watched him and Sandy pull that Lenco out of his truck on the ground in the pits at L.A.C.R after hurting it on a pass that day...tear it apart ...replace the bad stuff...put it back together ...stick it back in his truck and was racing first thing the next morning! I offered to help but they had it handled ...One of the coolest memories I have at that place . That's a real drag racer!

Thanks for the kind words. I think the statute of limitations has ran out. Ave. T is short for Avenue Test right? Hope to have it back together with the 585" for June. Good lord willing & the creek dont rise. Ron
