God bless ANRA. What a great bunch of people. If it weren't for folks like Butch and the rest of the gang I wouldn't be having as much fun drag racing. Thanx so much for the barbeque Saturday nite. Don't think there's to many organizations that do that for free. I look forward to seeing you all next year.
Happy motoring, Jim

Butch/JR/Joe and the "behind the scene crew"
Ditto to the above comments! What an awesome weekend of racing. As Eric said the weather was fantastic for both days, and the track didn't blow away either. We're looking forward to another great year of racing with ANRA and the ANRA family!

I have to say thank you to everyone in the winners circle Saturday and Sunday. Not sure how many of you may have known, but I had my oldest daughter with me all weekend as a daddy/daughter weekend at the track. Last time I had a chance to have her with me when I was racing, it ended with me in the hospital...lol. So, I have been wanting her to enjoy the races and get over what happened before. I made her the trophy girl and she ate it up....she played the role and was asking me all kinds of car and racing questions all weekend. Everyone in the winners circle was great to her and made her smile from ear to ear....and when Larry Ofria asked her for a hug, it was a proud and special moment for me (big lump in throat..).
So, to say this weekend was a good one for me is a huge understatement. I got to spend it with my mom, dad and oldest daughter Warner and all of you great racers and friends....thank you!!!
Ok.....enough of the sappy junk....Anyone going to the last ever Hangover Nationals???

I want to say that I had the most fun drag racing this weekend. I want to thank butch and the gang for a great job done. I finally won a trophy thay i have been racing for all these years and it feels great. I want to thank my wife Suzanne for all her help in keeping me focused on the job at hand and all my friends for their help. I hope we have ANRA racing next year. All the racers were great. My '55 chevy ran perfect both days thanks to engine builder, Cory Weyer. Looking forward to next year.

To Butch and JR,
We had a blast! This was our first year running ANRA, and I have to say, we have never had so much fun! You guys are a class act. BBQ was great on Saturday. Gotta say thanks to Richard, Stephanie, and Harlan in the sportsman class for going along with the target and goin' hunting banter. Made for a very humorous day. ;D Congratulations to Larry Wiggens Jr. for his win and runner up finishes this weekend. Looking forward to racing with all of you again next year.

Thanks so much to Butch, Mitch, JR, and the whole crew. I love that we are going into our third year, and that we have prospects for new tracks and better venues. Sadly, I will miss Palmdale, with the wind and the dust and the Bernie Burgers. Thanks to Bernie for having us, putting up with us, and making each event something to be proud of. If we indeed move to Famoso for some events, maybe I can get in the NE1 points. As usual, we had a blast. It was great to see Ron and Marla take the NE3 title. I was considering leaving the class and moving up, but racing with these guys is way too much fun, so we are staying there. Im putting my money into some updates, new headers, a new chute... maybe some bling for the Daddy. Also, I would like to thank Ron and Marla Anzalone and Mike Steel for the friendship they've shared with me and my family this year. They give my family a whole other reason to come to the races. (It's great to see Mike Kirby back at the track as well.) I look forward to the next racing year, maybe more than ever before. Big changes are coming for this association, and for Nostalgia Racing in general. I embrace these changes and hope you all do as well. Heck, Im just happy to be at the track. Thanks all for making this a great year. Oh, and Butch? Bless yer sweet little heart for makin us all go racing...

I was considering leaving the class and moving up, but racing with these guys is way too much fun, so we are staying there. You know if we move to Famoso (or elsewhere) I bet we can get 16 NE3 cars also....we had enough different NE3 cars over the past 2 seasons to make a 16 car field...and with Car Show Joe kicking tail now.....lol

I too, would like to take time to thank Butch, JR, Joe and everyone else behind the scenes on what positively was the best weekend racing I have ever experienced. Weather was perfect, track conditions were excellent, and people laughing and enjoying themselves everywere you look. This was true a weekend to be remembered for along time.
Not to metion a 7.507 on our final run, (purely a mistake on the tuneup by my part) with no damage what so ever. We haven even change oil since before the other guys finals.
From what was being talked about in the pits, it looks like 2007 will be a even better year and I cannot wait to get started.
BTW, Ken there is no reason to type at the top of your lungs. We can read you just fine. LOL
