COOL AUGUST NITES

Man did ya miss a great one, or what!!!! Fri. t/N/t was a joke. Got one run in by my choice. The imports were all over the staging lanes and you couldn`t get to our lanes. We had 1 1/2 lane to get to 1-6. They were backed up almost to the finish line 2 deep. Sat was great. What a nite of racing. Track was good and close racing all nite. I qualified #19 out of 19. Not bad considering I was still way to fast. Tryed to fender race and that didn`t work. They raced until 3.30 in the morning and didn`t finish cause of rain. Will finish it in NOV. Mitch did a great job announcing and I just want to THANK him again for the great words about my shop and the work I do on race cars and paint. Evereybody better be at the race in NOV. cause it`s going to be a big one. I`m tired and going to get some rest. NEWT

Racing till 3:30 am with a great group of people on the best track I've ever been down - I tore a shoe in half walking on the finishline it was so sticky at 5:30 am ....Thanks a lot Jeff
Who's gonna pay for the damage to my rear bumper from that unbelievable starting line prep? If you can't get your car hooked up at Famoso you need a new car! Can't wait till the Finals . See you there

3:30AM RACING! THAT DIFINATELY WAS THE LONGEST IVE RACED, WE DIDNT GET HOME UNTIL 5:15AM IN NORTHRIDGE. ITS ALL GOOD WE HAD A GREAT TIME ESPECIALLY SINCE WE WON....AGAIN! IT STARTED TO RAIN JUST AS WE LEFT THANKS FOR GETTING THE FINALS DONE BUTCH AND THANK EVERYONE ELSE INVOLVED SEE YOU ALL IN NOVEMBER. KEN

EEEE GADDD When ANRA say's it a night race, they mean it. We made it to the finals and when we pulled to the staging lanes it started to rain and they called the race at 3.15. Who'd a thunk it. Not me. I never raced that late in the 60' and 70's. Lookin' forward to the finals in Nov. JTB

i have to agree with everybody too. friday night was very busy but i loved it all. got three runs. car runs very fast at "the patch". track was excellent! i just want to say a big thanks to butch for starting up the anra again. when the rest of the drag world finanally wakes up to our group, we won't be able to beat them off with sticks.hahahaha

Great race ! That was a wheels up starting line for sure . Thanks Butch and ANRA . Got home at 5:00 am . Did anyone find a gas cap ? It fell off the trailer . I think my eyes were tired . See ya in Nov. Chuck

We had a great time as well. We brought 3 cars and each car went at least 3 rounds with 1 going to the HR final.....man was life good Sat. Night/Sun. Morning! It was great to see another big car count and some new racers come out for the first time. Big thanks to Butch and his team...another awesome job putting this event together! The Famoso track crew always doing a great job with the track and also some of the friendliest people around.
