First off I want to thank all the great racers and fans that came out. We had some of the best side by side racing that I have seen in years on a track that was second to none Thanks goes out to the Famoso crew. We got started at 6:00 on time with 151 cars and the track preped and in it's normal great condition. Only had a couple of oil downs and the track crew had them cleaned in a short time. We took a little longer to get through qualifying and we will be working on that the racers were great about getting in line at the call and ready and I thank you. Once we got into eliminations things went smooth until the remnants of the storm coming out of the south hit us late in the evening (or early in the morning) Rain at Famoso in August We got A/G, B/G finished up and was down to 3 cars in NE I & NEII and the finals of the remainder of the class's when the rain hit and lighting off to the west, I felt it best to not try to do anymore at this time, and with the blessings of some great racers, we will have the finals of "COOL AUGUST NIGHTS" at the ANRA Finals in November. We will run it after qualifying on Saturday afternoon and get the race started early on Sunday. More to follow Thanks again Butch

For us softies who left the track at 1:45. who won or who is still in it. Really, a great time for all of us with VHS Racing. And I have to say that I have a bone to pick with the guy(s) that sent the local news crew over to my dad for an interview before the 2nd qualifying attempt. Blew his ego up so fast that he couldn't do anything right the rest of the night. Gino

Just wanted to thank Butch, the announcers, Mark from the Early Riders and the others who tried for trying to help us get going. Sometimes it just ain't supposed to be. At least my partner John got a good tan (too good I think) Tweety's Revenge

Thanks for all the hard work you and the famoso crew did. Team Dinosaur. Thanks for the kind words. Looking forward to seeing the Dinosaur and the Mouse ( Ward & Gruzen's) two Yellow monsters run off to see who the "AUSTIN the KID" Frye (bye) runs in the final I bet they will be great runs. We are working a story about the kids moving up from the Jr dragster ranks to take on the old guard. We have several that are doing fantastic for being in the big cars for a short time. See you in November
