I would like to thank everyone involved in ANRA for the great show on Saturday night. However, I need clarification on what took place in the staging lanes in the first round of Hot Rod, and I know there are other people wondering the same as I was questioned about it. Who made the call on car pairing? I was the 6th car on the grid in the staging lanes; however, when I was called out to run the first round I was held up by the guy pulling the lanes as he took 4 cars from behind me in my lane, and 3 cars from the opposite lane to run before me, all the time creating heat in my engine. I have never seen this happen at any race that I have attended or competed in. They usually pull two from one lane or pairs across. I didn’t see this as standard practice in any other class that night, or at any other drag race I have competed in before. I would like to know who made this call and why?
Thanks Mad Mike

Mike I've seen some crazy lane pulling from time to time - I just make sure my engine temp is the same every time my rear tires touch the water in the water box . I live by my temp gauge , starter , fan , and water pump ...you never know what's gonna happen until you get there .

I HAVE TO AGREE, IVE SEEN SOME DIFERENT TYPES OF LANE PULLING AND SATURDAY WAS QUITE UNIQUE INDEED. LOOK AT THIS WAY IT KEEPS THE VETERAN RACERS FROM HUNTING DOWN THE NOVIS RACERS FOR THE POSSIBLE EASY WIN

Don`t know what happened there, but all the guys in NE/2 went around and contacted there pairings so when we got to the lanes we were all matched up.
