I came across this gem of a film on Hulu TV titled "Burnout". Minor actors coupled with some major drag racing action. Produced in 1978...it provides a good look at life during the late 70's. Big hair and big lapels, I think disco was also big at the time. (Chase the youngsters out of the room during the Vegas club segment.) The drag scenes easily overwhelm the storyline. Incredible footage shot by some very brave cameramen from tracks like Orange County, Famoso, Irwindale, Fremont, Indy, and Las Vegas. Several well known racers get some camera time, and listen for the sound from the jet car scene that was shot in the shut down area. I was a regular at OCIR and I remember every foot of that property. In '77 I left to join Uncle Sams Canoe Club but I managed to go to a few meets when our ship was in San Diego. My younger brother David was hawking Coke's at the track. Pop some corn and enjoy! Larry www.hulu.com/watch/208186/burnout
