I think a lot of Nostalgia Drag Racers are going to be looking for a place to race Butch -

I think Eric is right Butch. And if you can put together that 11.60 index, you may just have 2 more cars willing to participate.

We are pushing to have an E/Gas class and maybe an NE4 class......I'd love to hear more from the racers on those two class additions. I heard from some of you this past weekend...so everyone speak up now!!!! JR

JR,
I metioned in Butch's post last week or week before that we got 2 Impalas here up North that would love to run an 11.60 index on a .500 tree. I think we all know an 11.60 wont react well on .400 pro tree. But yeah, we'd be interested in E/Gas.

I'm not sure I agree with people when I hear someone say a certain car can't react on a certain tree....how about move your finger/thumb/foot quicker?

I'm not sure I agree with people when I hear someone say a certain car can't react on a certain tree....how about move your finger/thumb/foot quicker? JR....while that can be true. Most of your A-C and some D Gas cars are tube chassis cars and they do react better. But most of your 11 sec and slower cars are stock chassis cars and obviously dont react as well. Like I said you got 2 cars here up north willing to do some 11.60 on a .5 tree.

EXACTLY! STOCK FRAME CARS DO NOT REACT LIKE TUBE CHASSIS CARS.AS FAR AS MOVING YOUR DIGETS OR LIMPS FASTER THATS A TOUGHY. YOU COULD ALSO MAKE IT A MANDITORY DEEP STAGE BRACKET TOO

this talk about adding E-gas on an 11.60 index is music to my ears I have two Novas I building which should both run these numbers. I'll leave it to you guys as the experts as to whether its going to be a full or pro tree. The important thing is to actually have this class for all of us guys who want to run in nostalgia racing but not in a bracket scenario with a dial-in. I was hoping GoodGuys would add this one, but it looks just just as I'm getting my cars put together they've scrapped the whole thing.
The other thing that would be just beyond wonderful would be if ANRA could run at least one meet at the new Drag City track when it get completed this year, assuming no further delays. For those of us in the southern part of So-Cal this one would be so much better than driving north of LA into the high desert or cental valley. Should be a nice facility overall as well.

I was wondering if there was any chance to bring back the gasser classes to a .60 index instead of a .90 index regardless of the track ? Marc.

Maybe I should make myself a little bit more clear about what I am proposing. If there is a vote on a E-Gas class running a 11.60 index (rather at LACR or not ) then we should bring back the rest of the Gasser classes back to a .60 index as well instead of a .90 index. Marc.

Steve You know Steve, My 12.5sec., 3200#, 4 speed, stock chassis (Leaf Spring) Nova was a slug off the line for the first 60ft, and I could leave when the last yellow was starting to light and still get a .100 over! It just wouldnt react like the lighter tube chassis cars. (like my new one I hope). I have to agree these cars need a .500 tree. Once I started driving the Rolling Rice Bowl (tube Chassis) I noticed that I did a bunch better on the .400 tree. Yeah, Yeah we know JR, we know..... Once a ball buster always a ball buster... ;D Joe
