I understand what you mean by that Steve...But I also like being a part of the big show ....It's the biggest Nostalgia Drag Racing Event in the World! it's the 50 year anniversary!! There's gonna be 24 Top Fuel Dragsters , 32 Funny Cars , AA Gas cars , a ton of Altereds and FED'd as well as some of the coolest muscle cars gassers and Hot Rods around. I get to hang with my best buddies for 4 days and compete and watch some of the best for 3 days of drag racing all for $85 . I call that a huge bang for my buck!!!!It costs $60 to get into an NHRA National event as a spectator for 1 day . I can't wait ...I wish you were going it's gonna be a great time!

Eric's right!Just being there is half the fun!I only meet freinds ther from all over the country that I would not get to see otherwise,Really the only big time event that we get to run in too.Jim Higby and myself are back after a 2 year hiatus.I'm driving his Phamtom Bantom Altered in NE3,same setup as all the other NE3 cars that I have had in the past.Should be fun!

IT'S THE MARCH MEET!!!
I've said it before, I'll say it again......... I don't care if Alkiada is puting on the March Meet I'm Going. IT'S THE MARCH MEET!!!!
Also there will be a winner in every class. You can't win if you don't play.
I want another March Meet Trophy! Surviving a field of well over 100 cars is a rush. Isn't it Eric.

The biggest compliment I've ever had was after winning the 44th March Meet..158 cars in Hot Rod and 8 rounds of close racing to win it . I was in the payout trailer waiting for my winnings check and Jim Murphy was sitting next to me . He had just won the March Meet in Top Fuel for the ? time so I reached out and shook his hand (this man is a legend )and congratulated him on his win . He asked me if I had won and what class , when I told him I won in Hot Rod he reached back out and shook my hand and said WOW you won Hot Rod? He said he had it easy compared to us ! That meant more to me than any check or trophy could ever mean

2nd round runner up...Was on the wrong side of the light by a little . Still had a great time seeing all my good old friends , made some new ones , stayed up too late , got up too early and really enjoyed being a part of the 50th anniversary of the March Meet . It was huge - Cars came from all over the country....what, 22 cars in NEIII I think the biggest field I saw when I was driving was 11 cars . 149 cars in Hot Rod......That's a lot of cars to beat! Racing this weekend again...hope to do better
