Not wanting to "P" on anyone's parade, but as nice as this car is, it IS NOT an NE2 car...S/C, S/G,,, yes, but does not fit any profile for NE..(sorry)

I hate to argue but Good Guys let us run one like this with a blown Alky motor in NE1 at Pomona in 99.

And Good Guys were 'notorious' for making rules, then breaking them...They also let Larry Dixon come in with his 7 second 'Street Roadster' at one of the M/M, then later told him that he couldn't run that car in NE1 anymore.
Just looking at the past and current rules..NE cars consist of any front engine Dragster, Altered or F/C..Unfortunately, the car above doesn't qualify for either category..(Still a nice car though)

Just my 2 cents worth but I think this type of car would look good in NE2 provided the offset isn't too much. It's a stretch for NE1 because the front fenders start acting like wings at about 160 MPH.

Hi Guys, Just A Note: Do Streetroadsters Left steer Fit In The Gas Classes? If Not, Why NoT Make An AandB Streetroadster Class. A=Big Block, B=Small Block. Just A Thought. Will Bring More Cars Out. Ozzie.

Do Streetroadsters Left steer Fit In The Gas Classes[/i]? They sure do, provided that they have fenders, a windshied, a roof, and two working doors. So I guess the answer would be no.
Rich Faciano, who runs a '32 Ford in A/G, has a poster of himself going throught the lights with his front wheels 4 inches of the ground. Air getting under the fenders was causing the front of the car to lift, so he had to cut in some slots to keep that from happening again.

Hello fellow racers. This car WILL work for NE2 or 3 I ran this car at the March meet this year and two ANRA events in NE3. It will also fit NHRA super gas, look at all the Corvette and camaro LEFT steer roadsters. But you will need to add weight (super gas is 2100 lbs) and also super comp ( 1800 lbs) probabily not competitive aginst the hundreds of look alike rear engine dragsters but lots of fun anyway. So step up and make an offer, turn key ready to race.

How about Craig Wallace's car he runs in NE3? Doesn't seem too much different to me.....just my personal 2 cents of nothingness. ;D

as anyone who knows me at all, knows that i am an altered addict, but i would love to see a street roadster class in anra. i would think it would bring alot of the street rod kind of cars out to our events. it could be setup just like ne 1, 2, 3. how many of you would like to see some of the old hugh tucker type street roadsters running. i have a '29 glass body i would build for that class. as long as i could go fast enough. a/sr 3 could be the slowest class to allow the street rod types to run also. bolt in roll bar and harness and the other safety features would be required stuff though.

When GG consolidated the "Hot Rod" and "Street Machine" classes a few years back they stated that "Left hand steer Roadsters would have to find their way into one of the Nostalgia Eliminator classes" -- no open cars in Hot Rod Eliminator anymore.
Of course the modern-day "Hot Rod Eliminator" seems to have mostly "Muscle Cars" and very few real Hot Rods at all. The Rust-T being one of the notable exceptions. :-)
NE includes dragsters, altereds and left-hand steer roadsters.
