My wife Dixie is working on a project for the Bakersfield Mercy Hospital Auxiliary 55 year Anniversary (1955-2010). She was looking through the Bakersfield Californian 1955 newspapers and ran across this Ad for drag races at the strip on Famoso Road. We thought our racing family would enjoy it. Not only that, LOOK at the prices... I remember Lions Drag strip being 50 cents to get in, And 75 cents with a pit pass.. But for a buck more, You could run your car...
