Hey all! New to this forum. I have a few questions for you guys, if anyone has information, please don't hesitate to help! We have a 1974 Pontiac Astre called "Rudy's Tin Indian" that we are trying to restore and we need any and all information and photos of it's origins, background, stories, ANYTHING would be helpful to us. What We Know: Supposedly Chris Alsten built two of these pro stock cars, one went to Canada and the other was in Northern California. (we have the california car) We also know that it's been sitting forever (20 years at best) in a container. Thanks! -Barry White Barry's Speed Shop

Best thing to do is give Chris a call...... 1-800-722-2269 just ask for Sr. not Jr. Or ask to talk to Mike Weddle there ....he's been there longer than anyone else.

Barry,
Rudy Dephius built and owened several Tin Indians. My Cylnder head guy Jerry Bonds jr. is the best one to call about any Info you might need on Rudy's cars. I have laid under that car to give Rudy a hand getting it ready, or performing maintanence Rudy had the largest collection of Pontiac parts I have ever seen. He used to do R&D for Pontiac and was a big part of the reason Pontiacs ran so well in the 60's at NASCAR races. Jerrys phone number is 209-918-0483.... He asked me to post it here for you. Give him a call....
