Hey Butch, HERE'S THE CURE For Mexican Food Indigestion :-) , REALAX, Lift RIGHT LEG Knee High, Lean to the Left (with Right leg OFF the Floor), Close 1 eye, Apply Just a LITTLE Pressure Down South, (I am CERTAIN You CAN Do THIS), When YOUR Business IS Done, Check Your Drawers And SMILE With Relief. GOOD LUCK Buddy. HAW, HAW, HAW, Thanks for Lunch My Friend. I enjoyed Your Company AND THE Food. NO Indigestion Here. Next Time Vejar's On Me.

Butch
If you are serious about your request for input I would provide the following:
1. If you really want to see an upgraded rear end check out Kim Novak......or Elke Sommer.....both drove Chryslers
2. Sell that crappy Chevy or better yet donate it to http://www.bowtieboneyard.com.....they will give you a $200 receipt you can use as a write off.......and then build a Mopar. They smell better.

Smell better??? Doubt that....but I do know they sound funny when they start! lol
Well....we don't have any progress on ours yet....we do have some parts donated by some wonderful friends and will get back on it after the holidays are over......and a couple of paychecks are in the bank!
As soon as I figure out how to post pictures.....we will get some up as we go along......but I can tell you our Nova is not as nice as Butch's........yet!!! ;D

Years ago, I built an oval port, open chamber 454 for one of my buddies. The thing was put together with good, but fairly inexpensive parts. Manley pistons, manley "Thunderstick" flat tappet cam, 850 carb that I milled the choke housing off of and put in 4 corner idling circuits, (couldn't buy 'em that way back then), everything else close to stock. Just paid a little more attention to the bore prep and did a mild pocket port on a stock set of heads. I even did the ring and pinion set-up with 4.88 gears if I recall. He had it in a 68 Camaro with leaf springs and slapper bars, PG with an 8" converter, and the thing was knockin' on the door of the ten second zone.
That 454 will be a good running combo in that Nova.
