My dragster is running a auto meter pro control that currently operates the shift light and is set up to keep the motor from over reving. I am looking for one that limits the rpm off of the trans brake as well. Does anybody know where I could have this looked at or purchase a new one and have it installed in the Orange County area ? Thanks, Snarlin

The best thing you can do with that pro control is throw it in the trash. I've done all the things you're talking about with the pro control and after 2 first round losses due to malfunction, removed it from the race car. First off.. using it as an over rev, we had it somehow get bumped to 6 cyl. (and it had a piece of tape over the switch to pevent accidental bumping) All 4 wheels came off the ground from the limiter kicking in and out, then, had it just kick in for no reason at the fuel and gas finals with the car bouncing off the wheelie bars again. It can also be used to control launch rpms if you hook the hot lead to a relay in the transbrake circut, but the car will shake so bad it throws off driver concentration, so I wouldn't reccomend it . The best thing to do is use an ignition set up with launch rpm and over rev built in.

This is what I'm putting on my new car. A rev limiter for launch that will work with my Vertex mag.....should be simple to wire up and use....
