I have a blown flathead in a 35 ford that I run with the Denver Flatheaders and also Bonneville. I would like to switch to alcohol to make the engine run cooler and make tuning easer. Can I run in the ANRA on alcohol?

I don't see why not as long as the NHRA safety specs are covered. Joel you have any Ideals?

Joel? Didn't know he runs flat heads....
The majority of our racers run alky...as Butch said, just be sure you can pass tech for safety and it's all good.....

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I would like to run with you if possible. I ran at the Hot Rod Reunion in October & only got in 2 runs since I was in the "exhibition" class. It's a bit of a long haul from where we live.

Hi Jerry..You don't state if your carbureted, injected or what you plan on having on top of your engine... Whatever you have on it now, won't do for alky without rejetting and replacing any "o" rings and gaskets with the type made from neoprene to keep the alky from drying the old stuff up. If you'd like, "E" mail me direct to gruzenracing@aol.com and I'll try to provide you with some info on doing an alky conversion..Joel
