I am after some suggestions. My TH350 is down. Went to Fontana made one pass, launched with the brake, it acted like it took off in 2nd, shift light only came on time for the shift and only shifted it one time. Now trans only has high gear and reverse. when it engages into reverse it bangs into reverse very hard, have to use trans brake button to engage reverse with this valve body, also reverse engages when selector is in neutral.
With most everyone running auto trans, I like the th350, fits my car and I am set up for everything, who can build a kicka#$ th350 with out breaking then bank. I have 7 or 8 passes on the trans. I don't have $2000 to buy a glide.
Any and all input would be greatly appreciated Jeff

Talk to Art Carr at California Performance Transmission in Huntington Beach.. See what he has to say..My C-4 has stood up real well. Carr just freshened it up not long ago. He said, It's good for about 1.000 HP.

I have a turbo 400 with 0 passes I'll let go for $1000. It was built for a super gas car and never used. I also have a glide with maybe 20 passes I'll let go for $800. (760)780-3201 I can meet you in Mojave City if you are interested

The 400 was built by an auto shop teacher from Riverside who was a friend of my father-in-laws, I can't remember his name. It has a brake. not sure of what is in it. I would guess it was built to handle 800-1000 horse as he had it built to put behind a 700 horse super gas motor in an 1800 pound roadster. That is all I know about it. Sorry I can't be more help. All I really know for sure is that it has exactly zero passes on it and he wouldn't have cut corners on it.
