No ones replying so I will,.. is this with a stainless Steel valve or Titanium ? ..min. 280 lbs @closed seat intake side 350 lbs would be even better with better pushrods. any more boost than that you will want Min 325 lbs-350

Just responding to Ivans post he says solid ,.I would assume it is a roller,..and I would belive 280 lbs would be ok minimum for only 10-15 lbs, and if only turning 7200-7400 rpm but 300-325 would be better, and 350 lbs if turning 8,000 plus rpm..

sorry for not clarifying i meant solid tappet cam not roller . Mouth dropped open when i seen 280lbs. they are stainless .what gets me is the exhaust are nonmagnetic and the intake is magnetic called them and they said there are different kinds of stainless i did a quik search to find out this is true. i want as much spring pressure as i can get without cratering the cam. if i am correct more so on intake. thanks hope i can get some help on this thanks.

Solid Flat Tappet,..what you want is around 145-155 closed seat pressure,. There are many bad things to running flat tappet, the biggest is it robs horsepower from the friction, second you need to stay ontop of the maintnace,..there have been alot of problems in the last years regaurding solid flat tappet, cam shafts getting eatin up and such, because todays oil has got different viscoucity,..the lifter itself hasnt changed, but the oils have,..I would highly recommend switching to a roller,..
Hope this helps

a Non Roller Cam cant stand 280 on the seat unless it's a hardface overlay, you didnt give the specs can you give specs on valve lift and duration? rocker ratio?

a soild Lifter no Mushroom deal wont want more than 160 and break the cam in with "OUTER" springs ONLY or you'll wipe the lobes off, I ran 160 seat on my 90 degree V6 Chevrolet dirt cars with no problems breaking the cam in on outer springs only
