THE NITRO GARAGE would like to support your efforts. We need more dragstrips in so cal.. I checked out the pics of the proposed facility. DO WE REALLY NEED 4 WIDE??? I was a huge supporter of the MORROCOS, starting at RIALTO, until someone got a big head and wanted to build the TASHMAHAL in the desert. If you can do it GREAT! But can you keep something like that alive and pay for its self??? I `d like to see a simple, small facility that could hold it`s own and grow. Good luck and we will try and be at the meeting. Why do the planners always go for the most extravegant designs? We can barely keep a small strip going let alone some mega circus operation!I wish them well but think they should reconsider their plans, come back to reality!! JMO,ROY.

Because when your trying to sell the idea to investors, community politicians, and the people living in the surrounding areas, you want it to look as attractive as possible.
If you want to barrow $1 million from a bank, you ask for $2 million.

It sounds like you guys are having as much a problem as we are with the Facility trying to get back here, www.junctionproject.com/ they are talking about 60 million for this plan and the real problem is there is no investors to get now days.

I agree with Newt and Roy. Why not start smaller? Why such the big luxurious and overkill??? Build small with a plan for expansion. I do however appreciate the effort put forth.

In short, One of the reason we are proposing a 4 lane within in the plan is that when one submits their plot plan to Regional planning for your conditional use permits it is best to specify everything that you can imagine. That way you don't have to re submit for expansion.

I'd like to know how it's going too. We have a similar facility making headway here in WA state and it would be interesting to hear what's up with Lancaster's.
