Since there hasn't been much activity on the site lately I thought I would throw this out there for thought. As you're cruising along your favorite freeway in your truck pulling your race car trailer in the truck lane jarring your teeth and your race car, think about this. It was Gov. MOONBEAM, A.K.A. Jerry Brown that took the gas tax that was targeted for road maintenance and put it in the general fund. Our highways have gone down hill ever since. See Ya in Oct. Jack

Jack,
How can your teeth be jarred around when you drive? Don't you normally take your teeth out, and set them on the dash board next to your hearing aides when drive long distances:) Ha ha ha.... actually that was some great info. Too often we repeat the past (especially California). Even after the past has bit us in the behind time and time again. I hope California wakes up soon and does not repeat the past.

Yeah Jack after the Summer Nats on the way home at Grapevine, hit a big gap in the concrete on the I-5 'truck' lane, broke 4 of the 6 wheel studs on my RV, lost the wheel, it crossed all the lanes, no way that I could retrieve it. We made it home on the 1 wheel (tandom). New hub, tire and rim, at least $250 to replace, I'm going to send Caltrans a bill!!!
