ANYONE HAVE INFO ON THE ANRA/FAMOSO KIDS THIS WEEKEND AT FONTANA? ALL I HEARD WAS THAT KRYSTAL BOOK HAD ANOTHER .000 LIGHT ON SAT.  ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS, OZZIE. |

Oh my....what a weekend. Blazing hot......107 Saturday and 108 on Sunday.....
Our Race of Champion kids did a great job, and we ended up second after Team Vegas I believe. Hats off to all the ROC kids, it was hot and miserable, but that didn't keep them from giving it their all.
Our girls both went out first round....Amy's car slowed a bunch-it just doesn't like 103 degree heat at 10 am! Krystal gave the tree another shot but came up with a red bulb this time. Unfortunately, all of our 15-17 age group kids made their exit first round, so it was up to the young'uns to carry the team.
There were still 3 kids in when we left-the heat was getting to both Amy and Jeff-but from a text message I got from Krystal, it looks like our own Brandon Helgeson won in the 13-14 age group, and Ira Morris won in Junior Comp!!!!
We sure had a nice showing of bright orange shirts on the line when our kids ran.
Thanks to Butch and the whole team ANRA/Famoso from our family. We haven't had such a great time at a junior event in a long long time. From the BBQ Saturday night, to breakfast Sunday morning, and the cheering at the fence-line and the starting line, we truly felt part of a really great team. Can't wait for the ANRA race next month!
