Jack,
I have info on NE III only. This might be what you heard.
All tracks have agreed to at least a 16 car field and possible an all run for NEIII. I believe March Meet will be a 16 car field due to the size of the event.
I will try to confirm. I believe the rest of the events will be all run due to the size of the events. none of this is a secret but nothing is 100% either.
Feel free to share around.

All RUN in NE/1 at the MM is goign to be NUTS. We typically have mid-hi 50's for car count. With no 7.0, we are looking at a possible 70-75 cars......All Run? 3 hours of NE/1? I'm game. 7 rounds of NE/1? OK!

JIM, SO IF I"M READING INTO THIS CORRECTLY, NE/1, NE/2, NE/3 WILL BE ALL RUN @ HERITAGE RACES. I DON"T HAVE ONE BIT OF A PROBLEM WITH THAT. BUT, THAT MEANS TO MAKE IT EASY FOR NHRA THEY WILL HAVE TO RUN 1st ROUND RANDOM PAIRINGS THEN LADDER AFTER THAT. SOUNDS LIKE THEY WANT IT TO BE A S/C-S/G DEAL TO ME! BUTCH HAS ALL-RUN BUT, LADDERED 1st ROUND. WISH THEY WOULD LET ALL OF US KNOW UP FRONT SO WE CAN PICK THE WAY WE PRESENT OUR POISON. KEEP US POSTED ON WHAT YOU FIND OUT. THANKS, OZZIE.

Ya know, after further thought...If it is all-run, and we have 64 cars (a very big possibility at the MM), we are looking at 6 rounds. If they choose to round-robin us, how many NE cars can do it? Lots of NE3 cars have a radiator. Some NE2 have them, not many NE1 cars can run 2x in an hour. Depending on ambiant weather, i can do it, but it isn't the easiest on parts.
I look forward to learning the backside of this rumor.

Jim you rumor starter ! I just got off the phone with Graham Light and he said that front wheel drive, right hand steer vehicles are permitted this year and we all will have to qualify in reverse for the march meet. Back up babes are encouraged but not mandatory for this new format . Love, Tim Beeman

TALKED TO ERIC LOTZ THIS AFTERNOON. NE/3 @ THE MM= 16 CAR FIELD. NE/2 @ THE MM=16 CAR FIELD. NE/1 @ THE MM 32 CAR FIELD. NOTE: ALL THE OTHER TRACK OPERATORS @ THE MEETING <SEMA SHOW> WANT ALL-RUN AT THEIR RACES. SO, ACCORDING TO ERIC "EACH TRACK OPERATOR HOSTING A HERITAGE RACE WILL DETERMIN IF IT"S ALL RUN OR NOT". THIS IS AS OF THIS AFTERNOON AND NOT CONCRETE. HE EXPRESSED THAT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS TO ADDRESS THEM TO THE HOSTING TRACK OR TO HIM PERSONALLY. JIM & JACK, THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THIS TO OUR ATTENTION. OZZIE. PS, MM PAYOUTS WILL BE THE SAME FOR NE/3 AS NE/2.

From the car counts I saw at some of the Heritage series races last year - "All Run" wasn't a full field in many classes so it changes nothing ;D

Agreed Eric. only the MM draws a 32 car show in NE/1 it seems.
Thanks for the clarification guys
