Was asked to have our race cars take part in their Cruise Night on August 25th the same weekend as the Summer Nationals. Many other racers that run ANRA already take part in this event that draws upward to 4000 people. I understand that they light up the cars and cruise them down the middle of town for about three blocks.
We would like to take part in this and caravan up to the Patch early Saturday Morning if anyone else wants to join us. We'll even hand out ANRA fliers and try and generate spectators to come up and watch.
Will add more info as we get closer.

Doesn't work that way as most of the race cars that show up come at various times. We usually get the long cars before the show gets busy then the door cars trickle in.This is the third year for the 'cruise',and they have done race car night the previous two years, not sure how they are going to pull this off,as in the past we parked in an area that is now used to access the back parking lot.You need to be there around 4PM as the parking lot gets crazy and they DO NOT stop traffic!!I'm not trying to talk anyone from bringing their race cars out, just letting you know what goes on.I live about a mile away and attend the show a couple times a year and on race car night they have had me and a couple other local cars get there before 4 to help hold down the area. We usually leave for Bakersfield at around 1 on Friday afternoon from Northridge, so to be in Oxnard before 4 will not be a problem. Steve Davis lives on Port Hueneme Rd. off HWY 1, so being there early is not a problem. Some of the names mentioned were Dean Lindsey, Ray Padgett, Data, and Scott Loomis. Loomis would have been there last year had the car not been apart
And we're game for what ever is needed to make the show successful. Even if it's just to start them up and give them a few whacks. Our second motivation is to hand out as many ANRA fliers as possible in order to get spectators through the gate.
