I was wondering, I know that superchargers are legal in ANRA, but are they restricted to roots style only? Or are centrifugal style blowers legal too?

In that rulebook I see where there are restrictions in some classes but it doesn't appear the restrictions are in all classes, just that they must be front driven. I was just thinking of a future D/gas supercharged car and there's no way a BBC and a supercharger will clear under a 4" cowl hood in it unless it is a non-roots style.

From our past experience, you won't get a blower with a hat under a 6" cowl either.
Being that the below explanation only discribes a Roots-type blower, one can easily assume that it is the only type excepted. The only variation that I've seen is using carbs instead of injection.
1:10 SUPERCHARGER Nostalgia Top Fuel, Nostalgia Funny Car, A/Fuel, and AA/GS: Refer to individual Class Requirements for supercharged specifications. Roots-type: Maximum size: 14-71, 22 1/4-inch case length, 11 1/4-inch case width, 19-inch rotor length; maximum rotor diameter: 5.840 inches including fixed stripping. Rotors must be driven from the front; both external drive and internal gearing. The case must be one piece with removable front and rear bearing end plates; rotor must be contained within one-piece case. Rotor helix angle may not exceed that of a standard 71-series GM-type rotor (4 degrees per inch). Maximum overdrive see Class Requirements. Aluminum studs (supercharger to manifold) mandatory in Advanced E.T., A/Fuel, Nostalgia Funny Car, and Nostalgia Top Fuel. See Class Requirements for manifold burst panel and restraint specifications.

To be perfectly honest.. that sounds like the restrictions only pertain to the listed classes. As a matter of fact I know of a few racers who run high helix blowers in NE-1 and A Gas. I don't understand why somebody would want to spend $1000 on a -15 or -20 fire suit and put $750 to $1000 in a 20lb fire system plus a $250 blower restraint in a car to run 10.50s though

Jeff I was thinking the same thing...Blown big block Chevy seems like over kill to run D Gas...Lots of single 4 barrel small blocks running the number in D Gas.
