In no surprise to anyone, The Conrad & Sons family racing team brings home yet another Wally at the NHRA Heritage Series in Sacramento this weekend. These hometown heroes simply own D/Gas and from this racer's opinion could own just about any class they enter. And they do it with class as well. They are all gracious sportsmen and the perfect ambassadors for the sport. Josh Conrad is a machine behind the wheel and Chuck sees that that Nova is ready to rock every time the ignition fires.
It is people like this that make our sport one of the best family activities you can engage in. They travel together, compete on a high level, they are gracious when they hand you your butt on a run, and they share in your joy when you win. It is such an honor to be able to race with people like this. This is the primary reason we continue to pursue this sport.......people and teams like Conrad & Sons Racing.
Two years in a row as D/Gas champs. What's next? A three-peat? Does one ever get tired of hoisting that trophy overhead? I don't think so. We give the glory to God for these abilities and the freedom to participate in this sport.
