We are putting together a Sportsman car for Joanna to have fun in. It will be slower than 14 seconds. When looking over the NHRA regs, I can not find at what speed/e.t. a roll bar is required! Lot's of info on how to do it, but not when it is needed. Anyone?

Thanks Steve, so we can run E-Gas without a roll bar! Did not know that. Wouldn't want to do it, either!

This is my first time ever on one of these message boards....right now I'm just hoping I can find my way back to this place. I'm restoring my dad's 55 chevy gasser back just like he had it in 1965. The car has no roll bar and I was hoping to leave it just like he had it. You say I must be slower than 11.49 to take it down the track this way....but I haven't been down the track yet to see what she will do. Pretty stock 350, 4.88 and close ratio 4 speed. Goal is to make test and tune before the track closes for winter. Any advice for a true beginner on old time racing? Mostly a family sentimental project but would like to be able to drive it some....and its not street legal. Thanks for any help!!
