Earn points for qualifying?

Hi Butch,

Have a suggestion - may have been discussed before, but seems like it would be a good idea to earn points for qualifying.

Maybe earn 3 points for #1, 2 points for #2, and a point for #3 qualifiers.

This would help eliminate ties for the season and make qualifying a little bit more important, interesting, and fun.

What do you and others think?

This is just my humble idea - I really appreciate your hard work and dedication to making ANRA top notch,

Early response... ANRA does keep track of the 'qualifying points'; they're just not posted... They're used in the event of a tie, etc...

What Joel said we make it easy to figure the points and we use several different tie brakers at the end of the year if needed.

Well I think was tied last year with 2-3 others for 4 or 6 place for the season. It would have been interesting and nice to see how I really placed.

I just saw and read How Tie-Breakers Are Decided: Races Attended, Races Won and Average Qualifying Position.

Oh well - just an idea - thought it might be something good to consider.
