Night of Nostalgia

The Barona Drag Strip, in conjunction with the newly formed NOSTALGIA ELIMINATOR RACING ASSOCIATION (NERA) ispleased to announche the inaugural "Night of Nostalgia" which will take place at the Barona Drag Strip on Saturday, September 23rd, 2006. This even will feature on the greatest variety of Nostalgia vehicles, and is open to any and all center steered cars such as Blown and Unblown Dragsters, Altereds, Competition Coupes, Modified Roadsters and Funny Cars. This class/event will be run on an 1/8th mile, with a 4.85 Index. NO ELECTRONICS are allowed. Winners do it the way is should be done- -between the tuner and driver. This will be a 16 car qualified field with each car getting two qualifying passes. Winning purse is $1100.00 with additional payours for semi's, quarters, etc depending on the total car count.

Barona is a sanctioned 1/8th mile track located just outside of the San Diego area. The track just recently completed construction of permanent restroom facilities and a new restaurant is now in operation on the premises. Overnight parking is available. Just to let everyone know, there's been a major change in the winners purse.

Thanks to the Barona 1/8th mile Drag Strip Management, the winners share which originally was to be $1100 has now been increased to $2000

Makes ya wanna step up and build a car NOW....

As originally advertised, the purse for R/U, Semi's etc will depend on vehicle participation.
