Just wanted to give families a heads up on something a little different added to the event for this weekend. We did these a few years back at the Fontana Jr events and it was a cool addition to the race. I have cleared it with Butch and you will have to see Heather or myself to sign up for it. For those that don't know what this is it is a pretty simple concept.
It will be a $10 buy in per car and it will be done in separate groups, meaning 4 payouts, one per group. This is 100% your decision to enter or not, NOT a mandatory entry. It will have to be paid BEFORE any first round passes start on Sunday. This is how it will work then. EX: In group 1 lets say we have 12 cars total and only 8 sign up. For the kid that DID sign up and goes more rounds than any other car signed in he wins the entire pot, $80! It might be the race winner, runner-up or back to semis. It is pretty cool to go and hand a kid that just LOST money, it kinda changes their feelings a little.
I hope that is a pretty simple way to explain it. Heather and I will be signing up kids all day Saturday and FIRST THING Sunday. If you want in please come see one of us. If you don't than racing as usual. Hope to see a great turn out this weekend. Safe travels for everyone.
Thank you Jeff and Heather Ball

I'm a kid at heart. Is NE/1 allowed to enter?

Well aren't all the NE1 guys rich already? They should do a pot and have $500 buy in or something? lol. We have tried different things to add to a race with out actually adding races or track time. We've done dial-right a few times, a target on the #1 qualifier spot, etc.... IMO it just makes the racing a little more exciting. We have had a few races that money was put of for the best LOOSING pass first round! That was kinda a weird one, pitifully my kid won that a few times! Should be a fun weekend. See you all soon and safe travels.
