For everyone attending ANRA with Jrs Heather and myself (more Heather) are going to set up a "last kid standing" pot for the Opener race. Here is how it goes:
Each age group will have their own pot. Each group will have it's own winner. $10 buy in per car. This is TOTALLY 100% up to each team to participate or not, you do NOT have to buy in if you don't want to. If you choose to buy in you MUST buy in BEFORE the start of racing on Sunday morning. You can buy in anytime on Saturday, just give Heather $10 and kids name/car number.
As racing progresses on Sunday we will end up with $$$$ payout (100%) in each group. For those that have not seen this it is pretty simple: The last car still in competition that DID buy into the pot gets ALL of it, pretty simple! EX: If your child looses in the finals BUT the event winner did not buy in the runner-up gets the pot. If 2 cars loose in the semis and they were the last two in the pot they would split it. There are other options too, you just have to see how it all plays out.
It is a really simple concept. Heather and I will keep track of who is in and who is out throughout the day. It just adds a little fun to an already GREAT weekend of racing. Again this is NOT a mandatory thing. You can run both qualifiers on Saturday and see how things are going before deciding. If 100% of a group joins than great, a bigger purse. If not all do jump in, that makes it a little more exciting to watch unfold.
