I want to thank all the racers and fans that made the Summers Nationals a real success. I was hopping for a bigger car count but we had quality cars and I think everyone had a great time. Thanks to all the volunteers with out them we could not put it on.
Lets start talking up the COOL AUGUST NIGHTS "Nostalgia Under The Lights" August 19th @ LACR

Butch:
Hope the Summer Nats went well!
Sorry about the "no show" on Saturday but Scott, Jason, Mark and I were working on the Fiat. Finally got the motor out and disassembled. Gotta find out if we can fix the block or if we have to put another motor together. Our budget is thinner now than it has been in the past.
After Church on Sunday Jason, Mark and I helped Alex, John Lucas (Leffler & Lucas), Ronnie Rapp (Purple Gang), Ron Johnson (Big Yahns (sp) and John Ewald (www.WDIFL) fire up a piece of history. Got the "Chizler" fired up with John Lucas's motor out of his coupe. First car over 200 MPH in Alton, Ill. First time it's been run in over 40 years, according to John. It's been sitting in Garlits's museum for 30 years or so. You should have seen the faces of the people on the street as we push started it. Had a number of spectators, set off some business alarms and eventually had the police show up too. Everyone had a blast, police included. Loaded the car on Ron's trailer and waived goodbye. Car will be on tour this summer and at some Cackle Fests. Later!
