Kenny Long beat Ryan Harem for the Wally in Pro ;D

It was a bit on the warm side and the wind was blowing but didn't turn around on us until about 1pm . The last 2 rounds the big end of the track was getting pretty loose - had to do some driving down there

You know Skip, all that stuff that guys put on fast cars to make them go slower . Starting line timers and delay boxes , electonic throttle stops electronic shifters . All that stuff that takes many variables out of the pass down the track to make them more consistant and give them an advantage over cars without them....Electronics?.... We don't need no stinking electronics

JUST BECAUSE THEY RUN ELECTRONICS DOESNT MAKE THEM SANDBAGGERS! BESIDES IF YOU TOOK AWAY ALL THE ELECTRONICS IN DRAG RACING THERE WOULDNT BE ANYMORE DRAG RACING.

You're right Ken , the electronics cars still have to do all those things we do and remember to turn all those gadgets on so their car will run the number they want or leave the starting line when they want it to .The Super categories have the closest competition I've seen and the car counts are huge . I'm not taking anything away from them .... There are still a bunch of us Retro-Grouch's that like to run our cars as hard as they will go all the way down the track and rely on our instincts and abilities with out the aid of electronics . I guess that's why we are here racing in a "Nostalgia" racing association . I just saw where the NHRA is considering allowing "electronics" in Super Stock . Nothing against you guys I just hope they don't

I DO GET A LITTLE DEFENSIVE ON THE SUBJECT OF ELECTRONICS NO OFFENSIVE TO ANYONE,PLEASE.IVE BEEN RUNNING ELECTRONICS SINCE THE LATE 80' I DO LOVE THE NOSTALGIC SERIES ITS A LOT OF FUN AND I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT WHEN I RACE THE TEAM SERIES EVERYONE IS IN SECRET OUR SERIES THERE ARE NO SECRETS AND THE FANS ARE AWESOME.THERE ARE NO FANS IN ELECTRONICS

NOW PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS AS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ELECTRONICS IN OUR CLASSES...NO WAY! I RUN PURE STOCK (KINDOF) WHICH THE RULES ALLOW. WHICH INCLUDES NO ELECTRONICS OR THROTTLE STOPS. BUT LIKE BUTCH,FRANK AND HAVE TALKED ABOUT AT BAKERSFIELD THERE ARE SOME GUYS OUT THERE THAT DO RUN THROTTLE-STOPS AND IM SURE THERE ARE HIDDEN DELAY BOXES TOO.BUT NO ONE EVER CHECKS. WHEN A GUY HAS A .005 PACKAGE TWO RUNS IN A ROW I FIND IT REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS ON THE UP AND UP.
