parking was bad... after we got in about 4 pm All the asphalt was taped off by everyone taking barrels and saving spots for other people. some were large enough they took up half a row or more.
i can see saving some small areas but for crying out loud we ended up in the dirt becouse all the parking was taped off.
should be first come first serve, Parking not saving such LARGE areas for people. just isnt right.

I don't know why this is allowed? I agree why do people need to save an entire row for people to show up late while some show up early and wait in line.

maybe a spot? possibly 2? i agree. I get there at 230 to get a nice spot that we like. Most were taken this time.
I had to pit next to Adam Morgan this time.......geez.

There is a track in Oregon the "sells" pit spaces. I think it's a good idea and could be a money maker for the track. Take the 1st half of the pit area and line the stalls. Number them. Rent them for $25 per race. Those that want spaces can pre-pay for their group- any number of stalls- just pay the price. Everything else is 1st come 1st served. I bet there are 100 people who will "rent" a pit stall for $25. Should be a breakeven 1st race.
Could even save the first row for VIP's and early birds. (not have them available for sale)

Pit parking is becoming an issue. I think we all can agree that it is due in part by the successful growth of ANRA. I feel one easy solution is not encouraging those who pit on the west side of the return road not to park perpendicularly, but rather diagonally as they do at the MM and reunion. This would allow more spaces while having the ability for afternoon shade.
I would also like track management to clearly define the pit rows too.
