Was talking with Randy Winkle he is wanting to get some of your ideals about running NE I & NE II together A/G & B/G, C/G & D/G He was thinking about trying it at the Dragfest they are going to do at Famoso in May. He said nothing set in stone at this time but wanted our opinions on it. Just let him know your ideas

Here's the opinion of a "Non-Index" racer.....but I would think these guys might not like it do to the fact that running an index class is a "heads up" race. I know a few years back the Greedy Guys tried doing that (they called it a combination gas class) at a race and alot of racers got upset.

I am missing something. Perhaps someone could explain to me why, as an NE2 racer, would I want to run with NE1? Or why any of the slower classes in a particular grouping would want to do this. No dial right? Index racing yes?
Steve, I'd say your "Non-index racer" opinion just about sums it up.

Randy Winkle is a fellow racer in Bako that is putting together an event on his own.
My personal opnion would be to keep the same indexes together (A/G-NE1, B/G-NE2) if you want to combine classes....people run heads up classes because they don't want to runa bracket class.....

I DONT SEE ANY PROBLEMS BUT I DO SEE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS COMING. WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN IS THERE ARE GOING TO BE A LOT OF RED LIGHTS IN THE FASTER CLASSES ESPECIALLY IF A/G HAS TO WAIT FOR A D/G CAR.. 2.0 SECONDS ON THE TRANSBRAKE IS A LONG TIME..CAN YOU SAY ELECTRONICS SOON TO FOLLOW

My suggestion to Randy was just run it like we do don't mess it up we are all to old to make changes anyway. I think he agrees with me and will do it like we do plain and simple.
We will post more about this later as the rules are set.

I don`t really want to run against the NE/1 GUYS IF IT`S HEADS UP? Other wise it`s just a bracket race. Besides I talked to SCOTT and his dad about there ROD and KULTURE magazine and RANDY WINKLE putting on the race, And the date I think is the same as NHRA HERITAGE race in VEGAS. I think I`D go and gamble on VEGAS.
