Stopped by the track to talk to John and Blake yesterday and had a chance to look over the new guard rails all the way to the traps makes it look completely different down track and a lot safer. I am impressed with what they are getting done I know they have spent a ton of money this year and am sure more will be spent before year end. Hope they can keep up the good work still lots to do but the old strip is coming around. Butch Headrick

Went to Famoso Saturday for the Bedrock Racing Association Bracket Race put together by Jeff Cryder . Had a great time - many thanks to Jeff for putting together a great group of racers . The new surface there is awesome - Starting line was great in the heat of the day...Can't wait to run there in November!!! On another note Ron Anzalone was there with his 6 cylinder altered "TeaPot" . Last I heard Saturday night he had run low 9.20's and was within .02 of the World Record for iron headed naturally aspirated 6 cylinder in the 1/4 mile!!! and that was in the heat of 95 degrees and about 3600 calc altitiude . He's got that 6 banger flying!!!!!

Eric is right about the world record for Ron Anzolone's T-Pot, except that the class is "Stock Head in-line 6 Altered chassis".
The amazing thing is that this head probably came of an old 1963 Chevy pick em up, and it's going 9.28 now. Reincarnation can be a good thing!
