I'm trying to help an elderly friend that is in poor health locate memorabilia from the earliest days of Palmdale Dragway. He raced a GTO there in 1964-65 and worked at a Pontiac garage(I don't know the name? of the garage) there in Palmdale during the 60s. His name is Paul Anderson and he does not have access to the internet or a computer. He needs newspaper clippings, photos, etc. or just copies of these from those days that he spent at Palmdale. He now resides in Illinois and I'd like to help him out. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm sorry to here about LACR's closing! Closing any drag strip is devastating but one with such history is the worst. It sounds bad but perhaps something can be done to provide a new location. Good luck to all involved! Thanks, Leon Buettner 309 255-8193 Lebanon, Illinois
