We all have been talking about trying to get people in the stands.. How about a cruise night for the street rodders?? Then have maybe 3 trophys to give out. Like most beautiful, Most bltchen, And Most nostalgic. Let them in for 1/2 price. Bring your friends and relatives.. Street rodders love cruise nights. Then also you could have them cruise down the track at 1/2 time. Just a suggestion on my part.. If you think you have a better idea, Lets hear it. WE NEED IDEAS>>>>

Hey Butch,
How about an "ANRA Day" at Autobooks-Aerobooks in Burbank? Many clubs take advantage of our Saturday cruise-ins and free coffee and doughnuts events to promote thier organizations.
Give me a call at the bookstore or you can also speak with Doug Stokes (our PR guy and manager) about setting up an event tailored to ANRA needs. We even promote the event for you through our magazine "Automotive Calendar of Events"
We just hosted an event for the North American Eagle Land Speed Record attempt car that was a huge sucsess. The owners/promoters commented that they were amazed at the response they received from what they thought would be just another small venue show.
You will likely see a great response if we can get just a few nostalgia cars out here. Remember that LACR is just a few minutes away for the many potential spectators that frequent Autobooks-Aerobooks regularly. A certain late-night TV show host also drops by on most Saturday afternoons and seems to love the old nostalgia cars.

Dick/Max, I think a cruise of some sorts is a great idea. I know our clubs [Early Rodders of La Canada] & [The Troppers of Eagle Rock] are always looking for places to go and would help put more people in the seats. I will ask Rick Chew, the bossman of the Rodders to come up with some ideas for a cruise to Hot August Nights as well as the Troppers.
Max, a Saturday at the book sotre would be fun, maybe you can have some ANRA cars on display like this past weekend.
