ANRA Day at Autobooks / Aero books

We are going to do a show at Autobooks / Aerobooks in Burbank on August 12th to promote ANRA and nostalgia drag racing in general. Our own Max Blast (rust-t) is working to get it set up. We will have room for 8 to 10 cars and would like to get a good cross section of cars we run. I know that we all would like to show of our cars and this can be the place. If you would like to show your car there let me know. I would like to get at least one car from each of the class's. I think it will be fun.

Both of our cars are apart as we are going through them, but should have something together by then.

Another thought is Friday evenings at Flame's here in Northridge. They have a cruise night before most of the hot rodders head over to Bob's. Harold Hungerford wants to take his Little Old Lady over there sometime soon. We can hand out some flyers at that time.

Butch, If you want, I could bring the M&V Rollin Rice Bowl over- not to far from the house.

Also if you have any posters for the Cool August Nights, I would like to post them at Don Tubb's car show July 2nd in Montrose north of Glendale on Honolulu Ave. 90 cars + Lynn Park and Stromy Byrd' FED's, my car and a 32' lakester. We get to fire them at 10am and 1pm a mini crackel. Fun show lots of food, crafts and stuff, a good family outing.

Any of you ANRA racers who will be able to bring your racecar out for the day please call me directly at Autobooks in Burbank to get yourself "penciled in" for the event.

We are trying to get new butts in the spectator seats and this ANRA day at Autobooks is a great way to do it at no costs other than your towing to Burbank. Also all ANRA members get a 10% discount on all books and die-cast models in the store. (magazines not discountable)

What time should we show up and should we plan on firing up the car?

Even though he has not race in the ANRA yet, Harold Hungerford said that he would bring out his NE 1, '31 Bantam for display. He hopes to be out at the Cool August Nights for some tnt and lic. passes.

Saturday events here at Autobooks-Areobooks begin at 8:00am but to allow time for unloading and parking of trailers we suggest you arrive no later than 7:30am.

We will not be allowed to fire the cars for unloading. (neighbors)
