Well, we were at Sacramento and had excellent weather conditions. The track itself wasn't all that great. My '55 ran 12.18 at 110, the Blue '64 Impala ran 11.16 at 119 and the Red '64 Impala ran 11.22 at 117 or 118.

Hiya,
This is my first post on these boards, and this was my first time running Famoso. I did a 12.01 @ 119 in my 62 bubble top. Was anyone else sliding around at half track or was it just me?
I saw the Gruzen team, the Early Riders, Ron Gribble, and quite a few awesome rails and funny cars.

The only thing I heard from the people I talked to was the track sucked even for super stockers. Barona on the other hand was excellent!! I got half my licence passes in before my mag died. Already have a loaner in and mine is on its way to Cerillo. I can't wait to finnish out my licence. Driving is way funner than tuning. The old digger went strait as an arrow and stops great. It was thew first time down the track since the NHRA outlawed 3 bar roll cages for the old crate and the first time ever for me. WOW!! What a rush!! My time slips weren't very impressive but I'm blaming it on a dying mag. I can't wait to see what it does with a fresh mag in it.

Track seemed fine to us. Too bad we did not have more of our ducks in a row for the Rust-T.
We have been so fortunate in the past it was a little disheartening to have a series of little things (I hope) to prevent us from seeing what the new engine would really do. Oh well maybe next time.
How about that Nurse Rachet Ambulance? WOW!!!

Sunday got better , and the track was awesome , made 4 passe's and could have made 5 . Hope the frist and second T&T will be as good as this one . Hat's off to Randy Wood , Joid George and all the bedrock bunch for the HELP.

Thanks Al For the pat on the back, But giving ALL you racer's a clean SAFE track is number1 on my list. I really thought the track was pretty good for being the first cars down in months. Needs a little more fresh rubber . And I agree, Red was hitting the tree pretty good! And I didn't notice the Trans drips from last year. Thanks Everybody!!! Have a Great Fun, Safe year. G.O.

The traction was great! I tried 1 pass Saturday, & went way too high. Tore the ladder bar bracket from the 9". Bent a bunch of stuff coming down...Fixes in process. See everyone at the opener.

Best was 144, 9.56, .038 RT JTB See ya at Bfield Jack....that left lane wasn't all that great when they first started (late) as they were still working on the right lane. We have video of one of our cars going down track kicking up debris my uncle said he felt it too. Seems the 7 second and quicker cars there struggled getting down the track, seems track crew didnt prep for them....kinda sucks. Other than that the weather was great!
