Hey all -
Been a while since I've posted but I have stopped by and grazed a few times.
Looking for a source for some 3/4 aluminum line to run from my cell to my 80A pump. Enderle says AN -12 for this run. I can use braided steel all the way (late model sedan, injected on gas so the cell is in the rear) but at $7 to $10 per foot I'm thinking 2 - 3 feet of braided at each end and 3/4" hard line in between. Only problem is I haven't been able to source any vendors that list tubing this size.
Any suggestions, other than switching to alcohol and moving the tank to the front of the car? (That'll come later).
Looking for about 15' or so.
Thanks
Murff

Have you tried an Aircraft Parts supply house? I know that some of the plumbing is that large of an ID or better. If you still have a problem give me a holler and I will hit up some friends at the airport, Joe

Ok, never mind. I decided to fab up a 'surge' tank and mount it in the front of the car and feed it with an electric pump & 1/2" line, then run the -12 from the surge tank to the 80A.
Thanks for the tip on aircraft suppliers, Joe. That was going to be my next stop.

I have a surge tank coming as part of an injection system coming that I won't need. If you want to hold off making one, I'll sell it cheap. Also, you can buy 3/4 aluminum tubing in 8' lengths at lowes in the hardware dept. where they sell the overpriced little pieces of steel. Last check it was $13 per 8' length. Jeff

It's too late to help but, I use 5052 alum tubing for our hard lines/ returns etc. (if I need to use 6061 because I'm out of 5052, I just anneal the ends that need to be flared or rolled for a hose clamp.)
I use anything from 1/2" up to 2" usually in .049 or .058 wall.
It's available from any tubing house and you can flare it with a standard automotive flareing tool. the material is very soft alum and works well with nuts and ferrils.
