FORD FLATHEAD ENGINE 1950 V8 THIS ENGINE WAS STORED FOR 40 YEARS , I WORKED WITH THE GUY WHO HAD IT . IT HAS JUST BEEN REBUILT , NEW RINGS AND HONE, MAIN AND ROD BEARINGS. Chuck,can you give me some more info on the flatmotor's internals,piston/rod/crank,cam,heads etc.Going to come down for the swap meet sunday.Maybe we can put this together.Thanks Dean 909 744-7648

Dean , The insides are all stock , except for the pistons which are after market .080 over . Heads are orig. as is every part except for all the bolts witch are new but I saved everything . This is a police special and came out of a police car in the mid 50`s . The triple intake was sold so I bought a new Offy. No port work has been done but I had the heads surfaced . The engine saw a short use in a 40 Ford . It was disassembled and sat for 40 years . It took me 3 months to put together . Valves are lapped in . It is painted black and looks like brand new . Has the water pumps , pully , dist. new wires , new bearings and rings . I have the clutch and flywheel . It has not been started yet . It`s a runner ! Chuck
