Anyone interested in switching from Hot Rod to a index class 11.60 / 11.90 class for 2007? I have had a couple guys ask about it. Just looking for ideals. Butch

I would be there ...Index racing with a pro tree is the way to go!!! I know it's difficult to get all the Hot Rod guys to decide on 1 index ..Here's a suggestion , at this years CHRR the A/FX class which used to be a 10.00 index changed to a new format that was a lot of fun . It closely followed the Nostalgia Super Stock rules from back East ,1967-1960 year cars. They use a 1/4 second index with handicap start . You dial your own car to the closest 1/4 second and run a pro tree , standard breakout rules apply . They matched as many heads up races as possible thru eliminations . Pro tree- not many red lights! It was a blast and very competitive . We are trying to get more Nostalgia Super Stock events to happen , there are some unbelievable cars in this class !!!!

THE PROBLEM IS THAT USUALLY A 11.90 CANT CUT A .400 LIGHT.YOU MIGHT HAVE TO MAKE IT A .500 PRO TREE LIKE IN SOME SUPER CATAGORIES

Hi Butch,
You've got 2 Chevy Impalas here up North that would definately love to run an 11.60 index, but with a .500 tree. Ken is right, most of these cars won't react well on a .400 tree.

I like the HOT ROD class the way it is Gary we will leave Hot Rod the way it is just trying to give more racers a chance to run index. I have had many racers want to try it and a pro tree.
