Did any one else see the article in the last hotrod mag about the big orange moving to Chowchilla. Now that brings back some good old memories..

YUP..I sure did...Mammoth Orange...home of the Alaska sized Burger....LOL.....Gee...and I get to see it eveyday on my way down to the SHIRT SHAK....LOL

Way before my time I do remenber them being up and down Highway 99 was neat to stop at before A/C in the cars. Now I guess that chassisman will take me to lunch there when I go get the event T shirts. ;D

Now I guess that chassisman will take me to lunch there when I go get the event T shirts. ;D Right now its being restored in our city maint yard....one day it will be located almost exactly where it was originally....where it was moved from wasnt its first home....once its back to use.....lunch is on me !!!!!!!

Hey Larry,,,,, When I hauled out of Ripon about 76 there was one just south of Kingburge and one just north of Madera. Or this is just a flashback. Ask Butch, he's old !!! lol

Ask Butch, he's old !!! lol The one North of Madera is the Chowchilla Mammoth Orange....I remember the one near Kingsburg as a kid.....used to thnk we were almost home...NOT !!!!!!

Well now were getting some where.. As you may or may not know we just moved again, and in a box somewhere I've got a pic of my uncle Daves truck with two big oranges on it. I think it had wooden spoke wheels ,, I'm still looking

Hay Chassisman how are you guys doing up north? Sounds like you're pretty busy ,that last post . Have you heard or seen anything going on with the big orange lateley,,, Grand reopening big car show anything like that. Could be a good excuse to come and visit , see you at the next ANRA right

Could be a good excuse to come and visit , see you at the next ANRA right Uncle Larry....we are flat swamped...and thats a good thing...chances are you wont see us til the March Meet.But we are planning a big party on us.We miss all you ANRA guys....but we are really trying to expand our business to the point it can run itself.I've been working 20-22 hour days for the last 4 weeks straight.I hope you see more of us in 09... ;D

Joe....nope the T-Shirt and Sign and Sporting Goods business I think is far more demanding right now than wheelin a truck.....LOL....Since the economy has went south people arent going out of town to purchase stuff and since they are taking as many trips more kids are being signed up in local sports....and that means they need uniforms and equipment.....and we are the only game in town !..Not to mention our sign business is skyrocketing....it is election year and we have been doing tons of for sale and forecloser stuff.
Larry I'll let you know when the Orange has a home again.......and I'll make sure you get up here for a burger one way or another.
