Wll be there but not with my car. Were bringing the "WILD WILLIE BORCH" mustang funny car and JR. Thompson`s OPEL gasser. See everybody there. P.S. Just finished the cowl paint on "SHOW CAR JOE`s" dragster. Now his head won`t fit his helmet. Anybody that has an XXXXX-LARGE get in contact with CATHY!

I'm There!!! I'll be at turn 2 when they're running the fuel cars. Check out the display of hero's at the AAA office on Truxton ext. next thurs. Garlits, James Warren, Tony Waters, and Bad Brad Thompson's AA/FD points leading Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster. What an honor to be mentioned in the same sentence with some of the sports greatest names. They will all be on display to kick off the CHRR weekend. What an event this is going to be. Blake told me the NHRA has sold 40% more tickets 3 weeks prior to the event then they did last year. WOW!
Thompson has signed a new sponsor for the CHRR "Tuff Shine" They will have a booth near Brad's pit, go check them out! You will love their products. Brad is leading the AA/FD points by a round and a half over Adam Sorokin and Jim Murphy is only 2 rounds behind. The N/TF point battle is giong down to the wire at the CHRR!
Bucky Austin, who ran in the 5's at Seattle earlier this year. will Be here, in the N/FC class to do battle with Utterback, Krabil, Romonazzi, Pettit, Capps? and the rest of the bunch. Del Worsham may not make the event as his Dad Chuck is having surgery just before the event.
See you all there! This one should be the best one yet, And they were only going to do it once.

My wife (shooting stills) and I will be there (2nd time), I'll be the guy on the ladder video taping from about the 150' mark. Another fun weekend.. Weather here in Canada, not too far from Toronto is still 75-80 F, it should be in the low 60's. Going to cool when we leave for Sunny Bakersfield, perfect timing. Thanks again for the Happy Birthday Butch. ;D

Frank - I recently received from you the 6 DVD's covering last years CHRR . Thanks for the awesome camera work , you got some great footage of my car as well as everyone else's . I'll be driving the "Cabo Wabo Tequila Ranchero in the A/FX class again this year ....come on by and say hi .I'm Looking forward to seeing everyone there .

It looks like fast car weather at CHRR this weekend!!! Should be nice and cool air combined with the great famoso track should see some records fall. I hear it's going to be the biggest crowd ever , if you're coming up on Saturday , get there real early or you'll be sitting in a line of cars for hours . Stop on by the Cabo Wabo Ranchero pit and do some bench racing -

Just what are the rules for the A/FX class nowadays?

Is there a B/FX class this year?

I'm pretty sure the Rust-T will not qualify but we have other cars that might.
