I never said i wouldnt race for less than $1200.If i can win a race and break even im good.I cant see winning and still lose money. i can go and watch and still have fun and not use up my stuff. I also feel if they paid more, more racers will come, and with the extra people they bring that will help the bottom line.Idont think $100 to enter is out of line for an 8 sec. carYou can even have a side pot for those that want to get in it. Or even ( buy backs). Lots of options, i have alot of ideas,I have been racing with ASSOCIATIONS for 25 years. Glad your gunna give it a try JR.

Out side pots and buy backs are fine if you want to run super comp....this is supposed to be fun, simply and straight forward. Just as the rules should be. With the costs of racing going up a lot faster than increases in purses, at what point to do stop breaking even? I don't know any racers who have won back enough money to pay for ALL their expenses...that includes the car, trailer, tools, spairs, etc. I'm pretty sure everyone is in the hole from the get go and you won't ever catch up. Will you still run the Hertiage Series if the pay out is only $500 to win? And what if it is not a guarenteed purse?

JR, Have you ever raced a season and NEVER lost a round??? Its pretty fun. We have a 29 year old race car 20 year old home made trailer and a 15 year old truck. its paid for its self more than once. how come there were 59 NE1 cars at the reunion and 3 weeks later at the same track there was only 19 NE1 cars (a class record)Im pretty sure its the money. And NO i wont run the heritage series for $500 to win.I can run TOP COMP,SO CAL SUPER STREET or the SUMITTSERIES at fontana for no less than $1000 to win and $2000 for TOP COMP 40 miles from home 2x per weekend.

Maybe we can hustle up some sponser money for NE1 at the ANRA opener and see if we can get a 32 car field.

It must be nice to expect to pull in the gates and walk away with everything...winning every race for a while season is great, pretty sure I'm not the only one who hasn't done it. Comparing one of our events to the CHRR is a little one sided...I wouldn't ever try to make that comparison. And here is where we agree to disagree....we have different incentives to race....I don't keep track of payout purses.

We had an open door meeting in 2003 and told the NE1 racers at this meeting that if any class could generate more sponsorship money for their specific class..that money does directly back to them.....haven't seen any efforts.....We encourage all classes on this...if someone has been "in's" then we do...go for it....

WE HAVE TO SUPPORT THE LITTLE GUYS OR WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY PLACE TO RACE! REGARDLESS OF THE PAY-OUT. TRY RACING A MEGA-BUCK SERIES AND GOING 7 ROUNDS FOR $200.00 AND STILL HAVE 4 ROUNDS TO WIN. YOU HAVE TO HAVE PACKAGES .027 OR LESS OR YOUR GOING HOME

Also 2 more A/G cars.
Mr. R Murphy, if these are new A/GAS cars I would be interested in gettting their contact information.
how come there were 59 NE1 cars at the reunion and 3 weeks later at the same track there was only 19 NE1 cars (a class record)Im pretty sure its the money.
Mr. Toros, I would like to take a crack at answering that question. If it is like comparing the 32 to 13 A/GAS cars than the answer would be like this: some were NEII cars that stepped up, some were Pro 7.0 that stepped down, some came from back east, some came from up north, some broke, some ended there season after the reunion,, and some think like yourself.
The fact of the matter is that ANRA is growing steadily. And there are many repeat customers that are glad to be there racing. As long as you present it as to what it is than your customers will be happy and keep coming back.
In my many conversations with our A/GAS competitors, I have explained that if there in it for the money than ANRA is no the place to be. If they want to run their cars and have some place run than come out. The first race I think we were the only A/GASser to show up. Since than, there has be up to 20 different cars running and more keep showing up at each event. More are also being built as we speak.
So I think that the ANRA is heading in the right direction. I am only sorry that you choose to stay at home than do what you seem to love what to do. Gino Ofria

well I guess thats the difference between racing for money and racing for fun, the Taros's is ALL for money, for the rest of us its for the fun and companionship, win, loose or nothing, TOO bad for them, I think their missing the point, at least we wont have to worry about them on the Heritage series, thats not what its about.

Happy Holidays to all!
I personally handed Butch $2000 in sponsor monies to help the purse in all classes, over the 3 races in2007. Those monies came from the sponsors that help me get to the track. They were glad to be on board with ANRA and Bedrock Racing. I/ you gota love those guys. They will all be back on board for next year. As this association grows I'm sure that the list of sponsors will grow as well. Mention it to your sponsors, you might be pleasantly suprised. It couldn't hurt.
