Midnight Oil. ?? Age of driver is not the thing.. I'm saying..It's the yr. of the car..OR the yr the car reprosents..Example.. The Mighty Mouse..Built in 94. Cloned to look like a car that ran in the late 60s..My car the same way..If a guy has a car that ran in or before the ANRA cut off date. then he should be able to come join the fun.. JMO..

I am butting in here, though I realize its not a class I run in. Bills car is not front engined. SO? The car & DRIVER fit the best definition of nostalgia I can think of. That car is not a super car, its a lets go have fun on a budget car. Things sound very legalistic here, thats not the ANRA I know. Yes, its Butch's call, its his ball game & $, not a democracy. I for one would vote to let him run, even if the rules were modified to read "Front motor cars unless specifically grandfathered in by ANRA" or "Front motor except Bill". Thanks for listening,
I know a lot of you dont view my truck as nostalgia either, but I am 46 & its my first car. Thats nostalgia for me, & I cant afford Fuel altered. Ron Gribble B/G #7306 72 Ford Courier mini truck.

An afterthought, I have run my minitruck as an open wheel, no bed etc Just once, in Phoenix. It scared the * out of the tech guys there but met the letter of the rules. It did not meet the spirit they had intended. What spirit is intended here?
Sure ran faster that way...... Ron

PERSONALLY, I REALLY DON"T CARE. AFTER ALL IT IS INDEX RACING AND A DIAL YOUR OWN. I DONT KNOW OF ANY DRIVER IN ANRA THAT IS SHAKING IN THEIR BOOTS ABOUT RACING ANYONE! LET ALONE A REARMOTERED CAR! I GUESS IT WILL BE MORE OF A "RUN WHAT YA BRUNG" TYPE OF RACING. AND THATS FINE WITH ME. LETS JUST GO HAVE SOME FUN! OZZIE.

When you allow the front engine into the class does that mean electronics and throttle stops next? The rules are set so the class doesnt run rapid. If you dont have a car that fits the rules Im sorry to say but your just going to have to find a place that fits your car. Yes we all have to run the number! under the rules set!

I DONOT WANT THIS ISSUE HURT ANRA IN ANY WAY. IF THE CAR IS NOT WHAT I SAY IT IS, THE ISSUE IS OVER Bill 7137

Bill I know the car and it is what you say it is. At this time the rules read FED and being the last race I can't and won't change the rules. I will set down with the guys in the off season that I rely on to help set things up and see what they all say. Looking at the posts I would say that it is about a 50/50 deal at this time. I have set back waiting for NHRA to finalize their Nostalgia rules so that ours would fit in. So far they are still running the 2007 rules. I am working on our 2009 ASO at this time and hope to have it approved by the end of the year. I have been around Bill and Jeff for years and they are a good family and I know that Bill understands where I am coming from.

Dale, I think your allowed a stop long as it preset and can not be moved or activated during the run or be controlled by a timer, but Im not sure on that because I know there are cars with them on and nothing has been said to those racers. Ken.
